I returned mine and have had the cost refunded to my account.. though it cost me £19 to post back, and i lost that money, so for NO product i had the misfortune of paying out £20.

Well, at least i got back £55 rather than losing £75... but its really a shambles as i was promised the postage back.. and i didnt get that.. shocking really.

Which again makes me wary of the fan club.. not that anybody really cares about this sort of thing.

I got my SE a few days ago. I'm happy, but then I don't put much value on the packaging and the add-ons...that's more of a collector thing. I put more value in the cd and dvd and in my estimation, the price was worth it for that alone. So for me, the rest is just bonus. I'm actually thinking I should have gotten two cuz I'm packing this cd with me wherever I go and I do like to hear the music from the source. Just old fashioned that way.

I am disappointed in this package as well.

I didn't even get the small postcards for some reason - so I contacted support and they stated that they more than likely got loose and are in the corregated cardboard that the folder was in - I replied back stating that I did check and they were not there and asked whether or not there is something that can be done.  This was a week ago and to this date I have not had any response.  I don't blame Phil at all, but it's a shame that this package wasn't what it could have been and that the Web Store support has been lax in responding, so I feel I'm out $25 for that portion of the package.

However, I am glad that I received the Deluxe 2 CD/DVD set - the album is excellent!

I'm truly sorry to hear how disappointed people are about the gatefold. I was a little unsure I wanted to pay an extra $25 for some pictures, so I just went with the Deluxe CD/DVD. From what I read, it looks like I made the right choice, though there's still a small part of me that will regret it because to date I've always got every PC solo item ever released. I just can't justify that expense right now, especially given what I've read.

Off topic, but I wonder if the fan club will go the way of the gate fold "special edition" (and the Genesis fan club for that matter). The record companies are just trying to make a buck any way they can, but they just don't realize they need to provide something commensurate with what we're asked to pay. It's just gouge, remaster, gouge, special edition, gouge. THe minimum content for the maximum profit. That just doesn't work, especially in today's economy.
